Introduction
When a contact unsubscribes using the One-Click Unsubscribe in the header of your emails, they are automatically unsubscribed from receiving all mail in future. This is achieved by adding them to the global unsubscribe folder in InterAction.
You can see the individual’s One-Click Unsubscribe choice recorded in the Unsubscribe and Spam Complaints Dashboard if you have Admin.System.Emails.EnableISPComplaintsSuppression enabled.
What’s New
For InterAction only initially, we will now create a new activity in InterAction using the existing “InterAction Activity Type Email Unsubscribed” activity type. This is the same activity type we use when a contact uses an Unsubscribe form. This will write to the contact record in InterAction. The new Activity Note will look like this:

Prerequisites
- An InterAction crm integration
- Verify with your CSM that the correct IA folder ID for Global Unsubscribes is stored in Vuture under Admin.System.InterAction.InterAction Unsubscribe Folder ID (This is not new, it was set up during your initial project to integrate Vuture and InterAction and is already in use for the existing Unsubscribe process.)
- The process of adding a contact to the IA unsubscribe folder and the subsequent suppression will happen automatically. There is no extra configuration required.
- Note: ISP complaints suppression (showing up in the Unsubscribe and Spam Complaints Dashboard) will happen only if Admin.System.Emails.EnableISPComplaintsSuppression is enabled.
This image shows the InterAction Unsubscribe Folder ID and InterAction Activity Type Email Unsubscribed ID which are the two settings necessary for this process.
Note: This is an example only. The folder numbers for your firm may be different.
