Active Directory is built a little differently to what you might be familiar with from your CRM integration with Vuture; this is especially true for Events.
The Vuture Contacts Module can be used for any internal events you are running. You would use a list pulled from your Active Directory and imported into the Contacts Module to link to an event campaign. Campaign stats can then be viewed in the campaign, and all necessary RSVP and other information can be captured in the created list in the Contacts Module.
Why is the integration read-only?
The Active Directory integration has been built as read-only; your Active Directory is a strictly controlled, technically audited solution, where permissions are closely managed to specific IT members. Contacts (your associates and colleagues) cannot be amended or changed without raising specific requests, and Distribution Groups are closely controlled, to serve varying internal processes. As such, Vuture cannot, and should not, attempt to update any information in there.
When you are planning an internal event where you want to capture RSVPs, you do not use an event list coming directly from your Active Directory, and there will be nothing to 'update'. Instead you can export groups of contacts, as specified by the groups in your Active Directory and create a .csv file to upload to the Contacts Module, creating an 'event list' when you get these contacts into the Contacts Module.
