Introduction
Since Vuture introduced the Engagement Status Allow List (whitelist) over a year ago, any client who chose to do so has been receiving a daily updated Engagement Status for all contacts emailed - if the contact's status changed.
This has meant that there has been a gradual update of contacts' status data to InterAction. However, only contacts with a changed status were receiving the update. Therefore a contact who was already engaged may not necessarily show as Engaged in IA.
To mitigate this, we are proposing a one-time bulk upload of engagement status data to IA in the form of a download from the Vuture database and an Advanced Import into IA.
This process needs to be a joint activity between you the client, your InterAction Client Adviser and your Vuture CSM.
Prerequisites
There is a list of Vuture-only actions which must be completed here.
Clients should have the Allow List engagement data enabled, at least in Monitor Mode, running on a daily basis. There is an article about this here.
You should set aside time to complete the data upload using Advanced Import as promptly as possible. Once the file has been generated it needs to be imported as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours. If you need a week you will have to warn Vuture that the daily upload should be stopped for a week.
Process
Ask your CSM to raise a Jira ticket to generate your Engagement Data export file. You will need to specify the following:
- The Vuture instance name
- The date range you want to cover
- The date format you prefer (US or UK) This will come from your InterAction Admin regional settings so for UK it would be dd/mm/yyyy and for US it would be mm/dd/yyyy"
- If you have multiple instances of InterAction connected to your Vuture instance, specify which InterAction database.
Your CSM will raise a ticket for this job. Vuture will then pause the task which generates the daily upload of data, generate the export file and upload it to your instance in a secure page. The secure page protects your data since you will need to be logged in to Vuture to view the file. There is an article about securing the page here.
You will upload the file to your IA instance in an Advanced Import. Detailed step by step instructions are in a PowerPoint deck attached to the foot of this page. You should ask your LN Client Adviser if you are unsure about this process.
Important: As soon as you have imported the data, inform Vuture and we will restart the daily upload task.
