Introduction
In the Upper Sigma integration with Vuture, fields are associated with Objects or Entities. The three Objects with which we integrate are Contact, Event and Broadcast.
Note: Vuture does not integrate with Leads.
Custom Fields
Custom Fields will be used for setting up and importing all fields for all Entities
Entities include: Contact, Event, Broadcast, VxActivity, AntiList
Custom Field Types can be:
PickList
MultiPickList
Text
Boolean
DateTime
Integer
Currency
Percentage
Adding Fields
In addition to the Contact fields listed below you can also configure other Contact fields outside the core fields, for example, Mobile Phone, Nicknames. Let your Project Manager know.
Contacts
The following Fields associated with Contacts will write back to the CRM:
First Name
Last Name
Salutation
Job Title
City
Country
Email
Other, custom fields can be added. The client will need to create the fields in Upper Sigma and inform their Project Manager or CSM who will use the Metadata Manager tool to add them to the integration so that they can be used on Forms.
Please Note : unlike Salesforce, UpperSigma doesn't writeback to Campaigns, so the Campaign dropdown is not visible in Form Editor.
Events
The Events parent object is associated with Delegates (Upper Sigma title for invitees or attendees)
The Events object will contain Lists of Delegate emails.
Adding Delegate Fields
The Delegate object will be linked to the Event emails list you send out. These fields will be used on event registration forms. Example fields would be RSVP’s, dietary requirements or maybe workshop groups. As a minimum you will need an RSVP field created, with Accept and Decline values.
Broadcasts
The Broadcast parent object contains Subscribers. Subscribers will be added to Lists. Broadcasts can have different Types (newsletters, alerts, announcements, etc).
Topics of Interest
Topics of Interest can be associated with Contacts and Lists. Upper Sigma manages adding/removing Contacts to a Topic of Interest by associating them to “Topic Lists”. If a Contact is a List Member, and the List is an associated Topic List, then the Contact will be added to the “Contacts with Interest” on the Topic. This process is triggered by the button “Refresh Topics of Interest”.
Contacts must be added to a List (as a List Member) and then to a Event or a Broadcast. There are suppression rules in place to prevent adding Contacts based on Do Not Email.
Anti-List type Broadcasts and Lists can be created. Anti-Lists are only used in Upper Sigma to remove Contacts from the List, which can be triggered on the Event/Broadcast.
Contacts Module - importing lists
Broadcasts and Events are managed using Status = Active. Users will have the ability to import both Broadcasts and Events to the Contacts module. Only Events or Broadcasts that are Active will be displayed in the dropdown to be imported. However, once they are imported they cannot currently be removed, so if an event is then marked as planned or completed (non-active) once it has been imported it will still display.
Send Screen - using lists to email
Events and Broadcasts not marked as Active will still be visible on the Send screen and users will be able to import them through the Contacts module.
