This article applies to the Payments Module, whether integrated with IA, with Dynamics, or standalone.

This feature adds 3D Secure 2 authentication to bring Vuture into line with the Strong Consumer Authentication requirements from Europe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong_customer_authentication). 

As of 14 September 2019, users in Europe may now need to complete a 3D Secure 2 step when completing a payment. Users in Europe may need to verify their identity with a push notification, text or by another method specified by their bank. 

Stripe says: "Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), a new rule coming into effect on September 14, 2019, as part of PSD2 regulation in Europe, will require changes to how your European customers authenticate online payments. Card payments will require a different user experience, namely 3D Secure, in order to meet SCA requirements. Transactions that don’t follow the new authentication guidelines may be declined by your customers’ banks."

This page: https://stripe.com/docs/testing#regulatory-cards on Stripe's own site helpfully gives several test credit card numbers which will be accepted or declined, to help you test your payment processes. 

Stripe says:  "Use of Stripe’s legacy 3D Secure Sources API is no longer recommended, and will not support 3D Secure 2." 

What do Vuture clients need to do in Vuture?

There are no configurations that need to be changed in your Vuture instance and no prerequisites apart from having the Payments Module enabled.  

New campaigns with Payments will have the update automatically, as the software release rolls out from Vuture.  

However, for any existing campaigns your Payments pages will need to be re-saved to get the update.  

To do this, open the campaign that has Payments and open and re-save each Payments page individually.
