By default Vuture will automatically suppress contacts who soft bounce after 5 times and hard bounce after 2. We do this for a few reasons.
1. Maintain good list hygiene
When we receive a bounce message from a recipient's server there is always a reason which they provide to us. We have not been able to deliver your email because of a problem at the recipient's side. If this keeps happening then we have to assume that it's not a temporary reason. For example if a contact keeps bouncing because they have a full mailbox it is quite possible that the person no longer works for a company and their email just hasn't been deactivated.
2. Minimise the likelihood of you sending to a recycled spam trap
Recycled spam traps are real email addresses that have been turned into traps. This can happen at any time. By suppressing contacts that bounce regularly we reduce the chances that you accidentally send to a trap.
3. Minimise the likelihood of getting caught in spam filters
If you don't regularly remove hard and soft bounces from your list you will appear to be acting like a spammer in the eyes of spam filters. If you keep your list clean your chances of getting caught by spam filters are reduced.
