Q. When a user sets up the configuration "Allowed to have walk ins without emails" in their Event App, is there anything that can be configured to not have to manually input emails to end the event?
A. No, this is the standard setup. In order for Vuture to write back to a CRM, for example, we need a minimum of last name and email address, without this Vuture is not able to connect to the client's contacts in their CRM.
Without an email address, the events module would not know which contact to write the info back for, so it cannot be disabled entirely.
The only alternative to adding their address is to delete them. Use the Remove option.
Q. If multiple Walk-In contacts are registered with the same email address, will that overwrite the contact each time or will it create a new contact for each in the InterAction CRM?
A. Ideally, Email Address and Last Name are unique since they are the two elements required to create a contact in InterAction. Using the same email address is not recommended due to there being a risk it will overwrite the contact each time and influx the Data Change Manager's inbox.
Generic email addresses are sometimes held on InterAction( info@zyz for example, as the info@ address is fairly common). However, it is difficult to work with and not recommended - for reporting, or for deliverability.
