Some clients may have noticed recently that they are no longer able to edit the Expiry Date for contacts in the Email Engagement Whitelisting Tool. This is an intentional change rolled out by Vuture during Summer 2021. Additional information can be found below. If you have any queries regarding best practice using this tool, as always please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (formerly Account Manager).
Amendment to the Whitelisting Tool
We have made a change in the Whitelisting Tool to the whitelist expiry date for manual entries. When a user manually whitelists the email or domain then the white list expiry date will be blank. This is because there is no expiry date for manual entry.
Why Did We Do This?
We removed the Expiry Date for manually entered contacts because it simplifies the processing of the data. We no longer need to run a daily process to see if a contact, who was manually whitelisted, has now gone past their expiry date and then switch them back to automatic. It will also be clearer for clients who now don't need to remember these manual expiry dates in order to extend them.
Please continue to be careful and only whitelist domains or emails that genuinely merit it.
Editing Contacts
If you need to edit a contact's record in the tool, then the quickest way will be to delete their record and add them again.
