The Vuture platform uses email queues to deliver mailings for each client instance.
Each client instance gets at least one of their own email queues which is completely separate from any other client.
Note that separate queues can still share the same sending IP address and we normally only give clients a dedicated sending IP address if they consistently send more than 5,000 emails per day.
Each queue can send between 64 and 256 emails simultaneously.
How quickly emails get delivered depends on the response of the email servers you are sending to and some email deliveries have to be retried multiple times because the email recipient’s server is not available, too busy or drops the first attempt in order to deter spammers.
Mail sent from your queue is usually throttled to limit the amount of email sent to a particular domain in a given time period. This is to avoid being blcklisted or marked as spam.
Although each email queue has the capacity to send well over 200,000 email per hour, in reality 60,000 emails per hour for a single queue is a more realistic estimate as recipient mail servers are often busy or do not respond immediately.
Note that delivery speeds do not take into account the time taken to download contact and suppression lists from your CRM system. When this is taken into account send speeds of 10,000-20,000 per hour are typical depending on the size of your suppression lists and the speed of your CRM.

If you have sends that are time critical, using the scheduled function can speed up the final delivery of the email as all the pre-processing and suppresions are done in advance.
We can provide clients with additional queues if a single queue does not provide enough capacity. Additional queues can share an existing sending IP address or use a new sending IP address if necessary.
Emails in a list are sent in last name order (this is the default order you see the contacts on the send screen). This has the advantage of randomising emails to individual companies to avoid a large number of deliveries in quick succession which can trigger spam blocks.
