Tracking Mailto: Links Clicked
Following requests from clients we have added more data to our Links Clicked reports. These reports can now include links clicked on Mailto: links.
Prerequisite
Support or your CSM will have to enable it for you before you see the links included on your reports. Ask them to enable Admin.System.Emails.Track Mailto Links Clicked.
This will give Vuture users the ability to report on when their contacts have used a mailto: link from within a campaign.
The new element of the report will be displayed alongside all the other Links Clicked. They will not be shown separately.
The mailto: links will appear with other links, like this:
Once the new config is enabled, any mailto: links clicked will appear on the following reports:
Email Sending History screen
Email -> Click Throughs
Email -> Contact Activity
Email -> Contact Extended Activity
Email -> Email Global Statistics
Email -> Email Individual Campaigns
Email -> Email Metrics
Email -> Email Recipient Activity
Email -> Emails Daily Overview

How will this affect your firm’s click reporting?
Mailto: links clicked were not previously included in the click stats in reports. This will therefore increase your click through rates in future reports as these are now being tracked.
Note: Email addresses set up as a variable in the Summary area will not be tracked as mailto links.
Note: We don't currently track Anchor link clicks.
