The events app is secured through the following controls:
- Secure connection to the Vuture servers and the clients CRM over HTTPS
- Encrypted database of contacts in the clients instance
- Only a limited amount of data pulled from the clients CRM - name, surname, company and email
- Email address is hidden and is not displayed in the app
- App protected by a password set by the client, with a minimum of 4 characters required
- Password is required for every event, and no default is set
- The app only uses the data from CRM lists assigned to the event, and not the entire CRM
- Client CRM password securely stored in the clients instance, and nowhere else
- Events app URL not listed in Search Engines
- Session cookies used to secure logins
We recommend the following device and security controls to further enhance security:
- Using a client VPN on the device, and restricting the event app container in Vx to specific client IP address
- Enabling "Find my Device" on the device
- Setting a strong PIN on the device, with quick time-out
- Delete old events in the app
Q. How can I make the URL inaccessible once the event is over?
A. Deleting the Event page in the campaign will remove the Event from being listed in the App. Changing the password will make it effectively inaccessible.
