Vuture & DCM
The Vuture platform integrates with InterAction via the InterAction Application Server and uses the same application server methods (or function calls) that the InterAction Web Client makes when a user performs a particular action. Data Change Management (DCM) rules apply to data additions and changes from the Web Client, Outlook & IMO clients.
As a result, Vuture's integration with InterAction follows the same business rules and logic as any data added or updated via the web client and all data updates by Vuture are subject to DCM rules configured within your InterAction environment and that apply to the folder and contact.
What data is managed by DCM?
The following information is subject to DCM:
- Creation of New Contacts
- Add or remove a contact from Contact Types or Marketing Lists
- Move contact from a folder
- Edit a Name
- Title
- First Name
- Goes By

- Last Name

- Company Common Name
- Department
- Assistant Name
- Edit an Address, Phone or electronic address
- Address & Mailing Address

Phone Numbers - including phones, fax number, etc
-

DCM does not manage changes to additional fields, notes or activities.
Managing your DCM Settings
DCM rules and workflow are configured via the InterAction Admin client, whilst which folders follow DCM is managed in the InterAction Windows Client
- Contact Types & Marketing Lists Properties allow you to configure the Rule Sets & Collections that contacts linked to the folder follow, as well as determining the folder Add & Remove DCM settings
- Rule Sets assess the changes to a contact record and how DCM handles these. A rule set specifies the user or group responsible for managing the changes, the type or ownership scope of rule set and the rule collection followed
- Rule Collections define what DCM ticket is raised for each resulting data element change in InterAction.
How new contacts are managed by InterAction is configured in the InterAction Admin Client under "Data Change Management Configuration.New Contact Rule Sets.Web New Contact"
